Rey Muerte

Hi, I'm Reynaldo Muerte. I started writing a long time ago — probably as a teenager in middle school. A lot of my inspiration comes from books I've read, shows I've watched, movies, and video games. If there's a medium that has undead in it, I'm probably all over it. My first book was Bloodstream by Tess Gerritsen. After that, I was hooked on a very specific kind of biotech thriller where life moves on after the event — but not the same way.

I don't know why, but that genre of stories always lights up my brain. I hope you get the vibes!

I was really inspired by books and movies in what would eventually become the survival horror genre. I started officially working on this novel during the pandemic, and I had a long uninspired period — until Resident Evil Requiem came out. I don't know why, but it supercharged everything and I belted out the rest of the outline in 12 hours.

I live in NE Ohio. I love Lake Erie, and I do a little bit of art here and there.
